Sponsorship

Sponsorship is one of the cornerstone projects for Village Project Africa. Sponsorship not only
provides for the immediate needs of students, but also draws their families closer into our Village Project community. Each sponsorship is having a powerful impact in raising the standard of living in
this community!

  • Basic child sponsorship is $20 per month
  • Boarding sponsorship is $20 per month
  • Greatest needs sponsorship is $40 per month (basic + boarding)
  • Annual payment options also available

Through our child sponsorship program, you can provide education, nutrition, and medical care to a child at Heritage Academy. For those children who are living in the most unsafe or unstable home environments, a dorm sponsorship can be added to provide room and board in our dormitories. Additionally, we have found it to be a wonderful advantage for children in Classes 7 and 8 to live in the dorm as they prepare for high school.  Dorm sponsorships are needed for these children as well.

  • Full sponsorship is $80 per month
  • Co-sponsorship is $40 per month
  • Annual payment options also available

Through the student sponsorship program, you can provide a sponsorship for a student to attend Heritage High School. Your sponsorship covers the cost of education, including science labs and computer training, room and board and medical care.  Without sponsorship, these teenagers and young adults have little prospect for further education after graduating from primary school.  All high school students live in the dormitories so that they have the advantages that electricity can offer:  extra study time and time to work on computer skills.  If you would like to help a high school student and cannot do a full sponsorship, we will look for someone to co-sponsor with you! Alternatively, you can contribute any amount to a high school scholarship fund by using the donate button above.  We will use this fund to award scholarships to deserving students who do not have a sponsor.

At Heritage Academy, we take every opportunity to celebrate! Yesterday was one of those days. It was the day before the Kenya National Exam begins, and our class 8 students received notes and cards from friends in the U.S. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped! From the photos, you can tell the students will cherish these cards for years to come and will long remember the joy they experienced on this day. Volunteers are needed for next year’s card shower. If you want to help, let Mary know: mary@villageprojectafrica.org. Love changing lives! ... See MoreSee Less
